PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida Panhandle man has been sentenced to life in prison for a shooting that left one teen dead and another injured.
An Escambia County judge sentenced 23-year-old Jeremy Rand on Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Authorities say Rand and another man, Donny McKay, fatally shot 17-year-old Deiante Graham and wounded 17-year-old Neyshana Nobles while they were in a parked car in September 2011. Rand's brother was present during the shooting, but he wasn't charged.
McKay is awaiting trial on attempted murder and discharge of a firearm charges.
