OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) -- Police are hoping the public can help identify a young girl whose skeletal remains were found in an Opelika mobile home community in January.
The Opelika-Auburn News reports (http://bit.ly/KziBhX ) that authorities believe the girl was between 4- and 7-years-old and was likely malnourished and physically abused before her death.
Federal agents created a 3-D likeness of the girl and posted it online at http://1.usa.gov/L0Vih7
Patrick Kiernan, acting special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Mobile Division, said authorities will put the likeness on billboards in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
