PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -- Utility crews are working to restore power in parts of the Pensacola area following an early morning storm.
Gulf Power told the Pensacola News Journal about 12,000 customers lost power Friday morning when the severe thunderstorm rolled through the area.
The storm brought lightning, gusty winds and up to 6 inches of rain to parts of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
Forecasters say more rain is possible Friday afternoon.
