Tampa Store Owner Shoots, Kills Attempted Robber

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Tampa police say the owner of a grocery store shot and killed a 16-year-old boy during an attempted robbery.
Police spokeswoman Irene Thomas says that Quintavius Antonio Moore stopped in Baker's Mini Mart Monday morning and asked store owner Taquanda Shanti Baker for change. He returned about a half-hour later armed with a handgun.
Police say the teen pointed the gun at Baker, who pulled out a handgun and accidentally shot one round into the ground before firing a second time and hitting Moore.
The newspaper reports Baker ran out of the store and flagged down a passing police officer.
Moore was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he died later Monday.
The case remains under investigation.

    Reality checker, when it comes your turn and your child is gun down for NO reason then you will know the pain and gut wrenching heart ache Trayvon Martins family feels. Laugh now, cry tomarrow.Some killings are justified, Trayvon's was murder.

    oh!!! my god sonebody please call al sharpton,cause you all know that 16yr old boy only had that gun to hit dogs with ,and you all know he ask that clerk to please let him borry a little change till his entitlement check came in on the 1st of the mo..jst saying thats what they gonna say,so go ahead and avoid the sanford sendrone..if christ was still in office he would already have a check in the mail for a cool 5 million,but i don,t know bout scott he is a bit stingy with our money,but still not enough.its hard to belive that store clerk didn't know thats that boy wanted.operator operator pleeeeeese oh pleeeeese get Mr jessie on the line........
