FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities say a Florence teenager has been indicted on murder charges in the death of a 14-year-old girl during a party in March.
The TimesDaily reports that the murder indictment was issued against 17-year-old Autumn Marie Wood during a grand jury session last week.
Wood is accused of stabbing 14-year-old Brooklyn Ann Hollins of Florence during a party in Florence on March 24.
Hollins was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said she was stabbed once in the chest.
Police said there were no adults at the party.
Testimony at Wood's preliminary hearing in June indicates there were about 18 people at the party, all underage. Testimony at the hearing also revealed that alcohol was prevalent at the party.
