ATLANTA (AP) -- State authorities say two buildings near the Georgia Capitol are being evacuated after a bomb threat was made.
Tracey Watson of the Georgia Department of Public Safety says authorities were alerted at 9:16 a.m. to the threats at 47 Trinity Avenue and 40 Capitol Square. The buildings are home to the state Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, Office of the Attorney General and other state agencies.
Watson had no details on the threats and said authorities were following standard procedure by evacuating the buildings.
Employees and visitors to the buildings were being directed to two locations, one at Centennial Olympic Park and the other at a driver's services building near Turner Field.
