KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) -- Two Florida residents have been arrested and nearly 16 pounds of marijuana has been seized after a traffic stop in south-central Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol said in a news release Monday that a trooper stopped an eastbound car just before 8 p.m. Sunday near the Odessa exit off Interstate 80.
The trooper says the odor of marijuana came from the vehicle and that several plastic bags filled with pot were found in the car trunk.
The driver, 21-year-old Donnovan Woodberry, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and passenger, 18-year-old Justin Hicks, of Niceville, Fla., were arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana with the intent to sell.
A Buffalo County jailer said both men remained in custody on Monday. Online court records don't list the cases yet.
