ADDISON, Ala Authorities have identified a woman and her nephew who were found shot to death in a northwest Alabama home.
80-year-old Maxine Carroll and 50-year-old Bryan Stephens were found dead Tuesday morning in Carroll's home in the Upshaw community.
Winston County Sheriff Rick Harris says there were no obvious signs of a break-in at the home. Deputies went to the home for a welfare check around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Harris said Stephens was Carroll's nephew and lived with her and his brother who was out of town on business.
Investigators were questioning two people about the incident.
The Upshaw community is a farming community. Harris says many people in the area are related.
