Zoo Rhino Named After Boy Rescued From Bunker

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- A baby rhino at the Montgomery Zoo has been named Ethan after the Alabama boy who was taken hostage in a bunker in February.
WSFA-TV reports that Ethan is the first rhino calf born in a U.S. zoo to survive and thrive after being conceived by artificial insemination.
The boy, Ethan Gilman, was rescued from the bunker by an FBI hostage rescue team after a six-day standoff in Midland City in February. During the rescue, officers killed Jimmy Lee Dykes, who was accused of kidnapping the boy and holding him in the bunker rigged with explosive devices.
