Panama City Beach - State and federal leaders, as well as education officials, are really emphasizing the importance of getting students interested in STEM subjects: science, technology, engineering and math. Once fantastic way to do that is through robotics.
Members of the Covenant Christian School Robotics team joined us in-studio with some very cool technology. They are hosting the FIRST LEGO League Regional Championship tournament for Northwest Florida at their school, which is quite an honor.
If you'd like to come out and watch the competition, it is this Saturday, Feb. 4th at Covenant Christian School at 2350 Frankford Avenue. Opening ceremonies are at 9AM, the first robot runs at 9:45. For more information call 769-7448. You can also link to their website below.
