Panama City - Women are known for our ability to multi-task. Sometimes don't you wish your wardrobe could multi-task as well as you do? One local woman's active lifestyle prompted her to create a new line of fitness apparel for women on the go.
The "Skite" is a versatile skirt-and-tight combo that pairs fitness with fashion. Walton County resident Mary Jane Parrish designed the unique item after finding herself constantly changing clothes for all the different activities in her daily schedule, from working out to running errands.
Local merchants, yoga shops, and the Tennis Center at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort are all carrying Parrish's line which includes basic black and solid color skites all the way to wild animal prints, paisley and patterned skites.
"I thought, wouldn't it be cool to have an "all one piece" something you could put on in the morning to go walk your dog, go for a jog, you can go to the gym, go play tennis, and then go eat lunch, and it wouldn't be like changing clothes four and five times. So I call it the multi-tasker for the multi-tasker," said Parrish.
The "Skite" made it's public debut at last year's half-marathon in Seaside. Parrish will have a booth set up there again before, during and after this year's race next month.
