Knowing Matt, as we did, what pride you must feel for the wonderful young man you raised and who gave his life for his country. Matt will forever be in our hearts. I will always remember his wide open eyes and his wonderful smile - almost like he was doing everything he could not to laugh at me because I did something only a grandmother "age" can get away with. Our sympathy and love are with you at this time. When Weston was in Afghanistan is was so hard. He is really having a hard time missing Matt and possibly feeling guilt that he came back. I feel such pride in both boys and feel God must have a special place or need for Matt in the heavens above. God Bless you and your entire family for raising a fine young man, for the ultimate sacrifice you have given, and for the love you have shown these past few days.

Sincere sympathy from our family to yours. My son just returned from Afghanistan. I held my breath the whole time he was deployed. It is so extremely dangerous there. Your son was courageous and brave to fight and serve his country. I really feel sad for you, but know that we are all praying for you and feel so much gratitude for your sons service. God Bless You.

My sympathies for the family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though not knowing your son, he was a Hero and he died honorably for his country. Thank You for your service too as family members of a soldier, you also gave sacrifice. God Bless you All.
