Flood warnings have been posted for river systems across Alabama. The National Weather Service said a storm system early Thursday dumped at least several inches of rain.
Flood warnings have been issued for the following waterways: Black Warrior, Tombigbee, Sucarnoochie, Fish, Flint, Perdido and Paint Rock river basins. Also included is Big Nance Creek at Courtland.
A flood warning means that flooding is occurring or imminent.
Remember, never drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the roadway.
