DAYTONA, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is starting a campaign to crack down on aggressive driving.
Troopers will be on the lookout for drivers who are following too closely, making unsafe lane changes and speeding. They will also use billboards and radio messages to increase awareness and hold events at schools and community centers to help educate drivers.
The Highway Patrol reports that actions by drivers account for 88 percent of crashes. The campaign hopes to reduce accidents, injuries and fatalities.
The campaign will take place from Feb. 27 - 29.

If someone tailgates me, I will maintain the posted speed limit until they back off, NOT speed up as they think I’m going to do… If they get real close and stay there, I will slow down below the posted speed limit and may even “BRAKE CHECK” them when no witnesses are around. Hey, they ran into me…

I only get aggressive when someone cuts me off, pulls out in front of me quickly, then slows down, or goes speed limit or under in the left lane...
