NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) -- A funeral is planned for this weekend for a high school freshman gunned down during a home invasion in the Atlanta suburb of Norcross.
Police say 15-year-old Nicholas Jackson was shot around 6:30 p.m. Thursday when several people broke into the family's home. His sister was also home and tried to revive her brother using CPR after calling 911. Police say Jackson died on the way to the hospital.
Police say they took six men into custody. Each faces felony murder and burglary charges.
Police did not immediately release a motive for the shooting but said Friday it doesn't appear to be gang-related.
Jackson's funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Norcross.
