Local prosecutors are warning people to be wary of an old scam with a twist.
Some scammers contacted a local woman asking her to her to participate in a mystery shopper program. The request came with a $2800 Bank of America cashier’s check. She was instructed to cash the check, keep $200,000 then wire $2600 to a certain location. Granted the check was a fake. Fortunately the woman recognized it as a scam and contacted the state attorney’s office.
If you suspect you may be the target of a scam, immediately contact your nearest police department.

If it seems to good to be true, then it probably is. You know No one is going to send you a 200.ooo dollar check and tell you to keep nearly all of it, just send a couple thousand to the person that sent it.I know everybody is hurting for money but that doesn't mean you got to act stupid and think for a moment something like this is for real.
