Patterson Elementary Magnet School Vocabulary Contest
Students at Patterson Elementary Magnet School competed in its first annual Word Wizard of the Year contest. Students turned in "Power Word Proof" sentences over a five-week period to strengthen their vocabulary. Over 100 students entered the contest. The winners listed below turned in the most sentences.

Students at Patterson Elementary Magnet School competed in its first annual Word Wizard of the Year contest. Students turned in "Power Word Proof" sentences over a five-week period to strengthen their vocabulary. Over 100 students entered the contest. The winners listed below turned in the most sentences.
1st place - Word Wizard of the Year - 4th grade - Asheanna Brown - Mrs. Norton's class - 428 sentences
2nd place - 4th grade - Jacob Rogers - Mrs. Skelton's class- 278 sentences
3rd place - 3rd grade - Travis Beck - Mrs. Jones' class - 81 sentences
