Bay High School is without power and according to Gulf Power it cannot be restored for several hours. Since classrooms and hallways are dark and lunches cannot be prepared, students will be released for the day. Buses will transport students home beginning at 9:30 a.m. As an extra safety precaution, students who drive or walk to school will be released after parents verify that they are aware students will be leaving campus. A message has also been sent to parents' email, home phones and cell phones via the IRIS alert system used by the school district.
Classes will resume on the regular schedule on Wednesday, December 7th.
