Superintendent Names New Principal of Rutherford High School
Bay County Superintendent Bill Husfelt will recommend to the School Board for approval Lennis Coy Pilson as the next principal of Rutherford High School.

Bay County Superintendent Bill Husfelt will recommend to the School Board for approval Lennis Coy Pilson as the next principal of Rutherford High School. He will assume this leadership role on July 1, 2012 upon the retirement of current principal, Michael Kennedy.
Pilson has served as an administrator at A. Crawford Mosley High School since 2010. He began his teaching career in 1994 and was appointed to his first administrative position in 2002. He has been an educator and administrator at middle schools and high schools in various locations in Virginia, Florida and California as he moved around the country with his wife who is an officer in the United State Air Force.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with Bachelor of Arts and Master's of Teaching degrees. Pilson also completed an Educational Specialist degree at George Washington University.

Given the percentages, husfelt has done well. Anyone in any position tries to use their knowledge of an applicant's past performance, like when they both worked together.....before they desired to promote. Sometimes it works out & sometimes not. if you were promoted to a top position, would you surround yourself with unknowns, or those of which you have some knowledge? Yep, I thought so!!!!
Another pat on the back for one of Husfelt's buddies. You figured he would have learned with the Bozeman debate. Nothing directed at Mr. Pilson, but he was first appointed to an adminstrative position in 2002 and probably at Moseley....Who was the principal at Moseley in 2002.... Who were the other canidates that were recommended? The school board elections can't get here soon enough. Great job Husfelt. Keep looking out.
Another appointment from Mosley go figure coming from Bill Husfelt. Mr Payne was fired for playing around with female staff memeber, Birdwell band Director was fired and arrested and was Husfelts buddy when he was told about his behavior.
