TALLAHASSEE, Fla- The start of the college football season is about month away and the Florida State Seminoles are in the middle of their first fall camp with new head coach Jimbo Fisher.

The team took time out to pose for the cameras for the team pictures, and also sit down with the media and answer questions about this upcoming year.

Obviously the big question this year is how the team is meshing under fisher, but there's more changes this year too. Probably the biggest is a entirely new defensive scheme.

New defensive coordinator Mark Stoops has changed things up, and put in a more zone heavy defense. Former long time coordinator Mickey Andrews was more of a man to man coach. The team had the spring and off-season to adapt, and they say so far so good.

Stoops said, "Things are going well. I'm excited about the work that the players have done through the spring, the summer, and so far here in fall camp. We've got a long way to go but the only thing we can be consumed with is how we're doing today. So, we're enjoying the process."

Linebacker Nigel Bradham added, "He's alot mellower than coach Andrews, anybody was more mellow than coach Andrews. He was a beast man. They're both great coaches. I think coach Stoops will make a huge mark on this team, and I think defensively we'll have a great year."

Other news coming out of the media day was the news that junior wide receiver Jarmon Fortson had been dismissed form the team for violating team rules.

Forston was the third leading receiver for the noles, with 45 catches for 610 yards and 4 td's. Fisher would not specify why he was dismissed, but said he wishes the Alabama native well.

That's sure to hurt that young but experienced receiving unit for the 'Noles.
