Teams all across the state opened up Fall workouts Monday, that the first day coaches could have their teams officially on the field for practice. Over at Mosley High School, Coach Perry Brown and his staff working with about 40 players on the varsity level.
I talked with him today about what he's hoping to accomplish these first few days.
Mosley Head Coach
"We've got a few spots we've got to fill in here and there. We had Spring ball to give us an indication where we're gonna put people, but here in the next couple of weeks we want to solidify that. Try to find that first group and of course try to find backups.
we really weren't hit that hard with graduation last year this past year but we do have some holes to fill for those seniors that did graduate. And of course you have to improve yourself from year to year. You might be a starter your junior year but somebody else has worked a little harder and they're ready to take your spot so that's what makes it so I think that you have that competition there that you have to battle for a position."
The Dolphins beginning preps for their second season in 4-A District 2, against the likes of Niceville, Fort Walton Beach and Crestview. They will get in a preseason classic on the 27th against Marianna up at Bozeman.
