Up in Tuscaloosa, don't expect to see NFL scouts at 'bama practices these days. Coach Saban's reportedly cut off their access to the practice field, just a few weeks after publicly complaining that the league needs to do a better job of policing rogue sports agents.
At any rate, the Tide now into two-a day practices, and so far Saban likes what he sees, especially in how his guys are handling the grind and the heat!

Nick Saban
Alabama Head Coach

"You know we continue to do really, a pretty good job as a team of managing the circumstances that we are in. I'm talking about basically the heat which is pretty challenging right now. The players have done a pretty good job of rehydrating, resting and even having pretty good practices. Guys have been finishing practices, guys have been pushing through it. I think they're showing a little mental toughness and maturity."

High praise indeed from Saban. The Tide open the season at home September 4th against San Jose State.
