Gainesville, Fla- The Florida Gator football team held its first scrimmage of the fall camp Saturday.

Coach Meyer says the team is looking to avoid some of the downfalls of the 2007 season, when they lost four games, the year after winning the national title against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Meyer said, "Last year was like a year of maintenance, and this year we have to develop. We didn't do a good job of that in '07. No that I'm saying we did a bad job as coaches, but we weren't prepared. We're prepared now. Now it's just about getting these guys game ready. We as coaches we better be on our game now, as far as coaches."
