Florida coach Urban Meyer said in December he was quitting over health reasons, then changed his mind a day later, instead deciding to take a leave of absence, which officially ended Wednesday.

The Florida Gators continue to work through the hot days of August, and Urban Meyer still keeping the cameras at bay during practice, so still no fresh video of Brantley and company as they work towards the season ahead. Meyer is giving the media and fans pretty frequent updates on how things are going down there, including today, a report card on what many believe was a stellar recruiting class last February.

"Just ok, actually I was a little disapointed in some of them because I thought they'd go take a spot. I mean a few of the guys are doing decent. The guys that are doing decent are Easly, and Matt Elam, Quinton Dunbar is doing very good for us. He might play this year. Ron Powell had a great practice today, but he didn't have a great camp. He's coming on strong right now. But no, some of those big name guys, I'd thought they'd be cracking the lineup right now, but really, not yet."

The Gators now a week and a half away from their opener, at home against Miami of Ohio.
