SOUTHPORT, Fla- In an all local matchup in week one Liberty will travel to Bozeman at the latter's stadium.
The Bucks are coming off a split in their pre-season jamboree against Port. St. Joe and Arnold.
Coach Loren Tillman and the guys looking to start the season off with a win over a fellow 1-A team, although the Bulldogs not in the Buck's district. Bozeman won it's first two quarters against St. Joe 13-6 last Thursday, and then were over-matched against 3-A Arnold in the second half.
Tillman thinks the team will be better prepared for Liberty after playing a full game this year against two tough teams in the pre-season.
"I think last year when we played Liberty County we were coming off a county jamboree. We played one quarter against Arnold, and one against Bay. We only had two quarters under our belt with a break in between. So, I'm hoping the four quarters this last Thursday is going to pay big dividends this Friday, because I do feel like we were able to evaluate the conditioning we have given these boys."
Liberty and Bozeman kick things off Friday at 7 at Bozeman.
