PANAMA CITY BEACH Fla- While most of the teams in Florida opened their seasons on September 3rd, the Arnold Marlins were off.
Some scheduling issues left the marlins with an open week to start the season. In some ways it's been good for coach James Hale and his team, because they were able to use the extra week to game plan, and get in more practice time. Arnold used that extra time to get ready for a tough team out of Mississippi to open the season.
"This is the best team we've faced in week one expect possibly The Bret Reed team when he was a senior at Bay, or might have been a junior I can't remember.” Arnold head coach James Hale said. “Them and Bay were the best two teams we've ever opened up with so it's going to be a challenge. They can run, got athletes all over the field, so we're going to have to play our best."
Arnold will kick off its season at Gavlak stadium at 6:30 Friday against Amite County High School out of Liberty, Mississippi.
