Georgia's A.J. Green walks off the field after being sat by his team, pending an NCAA rules clarification, last Saturday in the Bulldogs' season opener.
It's bad news for Georgia fans, it's a four game suspension for 'dawgs star receiver A.J. Green. The NCAA hitting him with that punishment after it discovered he'd sold a bowl game jersey to an agents rep.
Green forced to give a thousand bucks to charity, and again will sit three more games, including saturday's big game at South Carolina.
He sat out Georgia's opener last Saturday. Last year Green had 808 yards and 6 td's on 53 catches. He released a statement today saying quote "I want to apologize to my coaches, teammates and the Georgia fans for the mistake in judgment, I very much regret all that has taken place and the distraction that's been caused."
