PANAMA CITY, Fla- Thursday night there was high school football action at Tommy Oliver Stadium. Choctaw and Rutherford, both struggling a bit here in the early part of the season, going head to head, one of them would get well, and get a win in the 3-A one district opener.
Indians in white find the endzone first, qb Jesse Adams tosses into the flats for Miguel Paulino who then shakes a tackle and gets down the far sideline for the 39 yard score 7-0 Choctaw.
Same score into the second quarter, Indians have it at the Rams two, but this time Paulino coughs it up, the rule it down at the one.
Tough break for the Rams because a couple of plays later, they try the option, ball on the ground, Indians recover it's 14-0.
Rams come back, work the ball to the five, Dondrell Harris in trouble, somehow works the ball ahead to Javien Elliott, made it 14-7.
Then just before the half, Harris drops back, short hops it to his receiver who then tosses it to Emmanuel Cuff for the score, PAT no good 14-13 Indians at the half. Choctaw adds two 4th quarter td's and they shut the Rams down, it ends 28-13 Indians. They are 1-2, 1-0 on district play. Rams fall to 1-3.
