Florida coach Urban Meyer, left, congratulates Alabama coach Nick Saban following a 32-13 Alabama win last year in the SEC title game.
It's no understatement to say Alabama head ball coach Nick Saban is a tough coach to please. So that's why it's rather noteworthy when
Saban comes into his Monday meeting with the media and talks up his guys...and why not?
The Tide's playing at a rather high level these days, and now coming off back to back conference wins, a come from behind thriller at Arkansas, and a much more convicing whipping of the Gators Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama Head Coach
"Well you have to be really pleased and proud, after watching the film, of the way our players competed in the last game, the intensity that they had, came out and played really well, especially in the first 30 minutes of the game and we obviously still have plenty of things to improve on. The last 17 minutes of the Arkansas game and the first 30 minutes of the Florida game is sort of the standard that we talk about that we want to play to, and everybody needs to have the accountability to that standard.
Saban then went on to say the celebration ended quickly, he and his staff have his guys focused on another SEC road trip, to face Spurrier and the Gamecocks in Columbia Saturday afternoon. The Tide opening as a touchdown favorite for that one.
