The second day of the FLW Redfish Series event took place Friday at the Bay Point Marina.

Again, 68 two-man teams were competing, each angler allowed to catch one redfish, so two per team. Saturday and Sunday were the qualifying rounds, and the top five after that move on to the final round Monday with the chance of a $50,000 prize package.

We showed you the leaders Friday were Blair Wiggins and Travis Tanner out of Titusville. They added another 15 pounds 9 ounces to 15-14, so they’re 31 pounds plus holding the lead.

The PC duo, Pete Turner and Joey Sostheim, finished 8th overall, and since the top 16 get a cash payout they are in the money, but again just the top five fish tomorrow to go after the grand prize. Again, all these redfish were kept alive and released back into the fishery.
