To college football and this Saturday's game between Florida State and Miami. The 'noles are looking for another big game from the offense. Perhaps it will be Antone Smith sparking things. He's coming off his best game ever, 155 yards and three touchdowns.
Jimbo Fisher, the F.S.U. Off. Coordinator, says, “When we needed him to step up and make big plays, when we got guys blocked very well, and he made runs, and made yards, more yards than were there. You know what i mean, he had some four yard runs that became six yards, and that was our challenge, make four, six, make three, five. When you get in space, hit a big one. That's what great backs do. When you block every yard and coach every yard, well you can get anybody to do that."
So perhaps Smith is finally emerging as the star F.S.U. fans were hoping he would be. Game time in Miami is set for 2:30 p.m., CT, the 'canes favored by a field goal.
