We start tonight up at the juco state tournament going on at Chipola. Today the men on the court, the gulf coast commodores in the 3 o'clock game against Miami Dade.

Second year coach jay Powell leading the commodores back to state for the first time since '99.

Pick it up in the second half, in a back and forth game, Mosley alum Derrio green the story today, #23 caught fire, raining threes from everywhere, these two helping gulf coast erase a 9 point second half deficit in the final 5 minutes, gulf coast able to tie it at 80 in the final seconds to force overtime.

The 'Dores would own o-t, first it's gilstrap inside, and then it's bay alum Jonathan Murner feeding Buckner who connects on the short jumper. The commodores led it 88-84, they hit all the free throws down the stretch and win it 97-90, green with 38, 9 trey's.

Its gulf coast's first state tournament win since 1992. Congrats to coach Powell and his guys, who move on to the semi's tomorrow against Santa Fe at three.
