7th Annual Paradise Invitational Goes Off Without a Hitch

Panama City Beach, FL-- Despite the chilly weather over the weekend the 7th annual Paradise Invitational went off without a hitch.

12 teams totaling just under 400 swimmers from all over Florida, Alabama and Georgia jumped in the waters to compete in a Long Course Meters Race.

An LCM means the swimmers were competing on a 50 meter track, the same size pool Olympic Athletes compete in.

The event started Friday night and ran all the way until Sunday evening.

Here was P-C Swim Team Head Coach, Jonathan Kaplan talking about the importance of the Paradise Invitational,

"Well this event was the first swim meet of the season. Usually teams take a break around Spring Break time, then we get back in the water. So must of these teams have only been training for a few weeks. But it's the first event for them to get some swims back under their belt and get ready for the rest of the season."
