There were several area match-ups in district basketball Saturday night teams trying to keep playing another week.

And we begin with the Rutherford game,

The rams taking on Godby for the 4a district 2 title.

But a last second shot wins it for Godby 51-49; Rutherford ends the season in the district finals game.

Here are the other area match-ups in district basketball.

In 3a district one there are two semi-final games going on Bay playing Pensacola Catholic and they get a close win 58-55, David Jones led with 13 points. Now they will play the winner of Arnold and Marianna game for the district title.

In that Arnold and Marianna game it was close right till the end and Marianna pulls out the win 50-42, ending Arnold’s season as Marianna moves on to the title game on Monday at 7 against Bay.

In 2a district 2 Graceville visited Blountstown for the title. In a great game Graceville pulls out a win 57-53 in overtime taking the district title.

And Franklin and Port St. Joe squared off for the 2a district 3 title.

Port st. Joe gets the win 60-51 and its 17th district title in a row. The sharks were led by Raheem Clemons with 19 points. They play again on Thursday in the regional qtrs.
