It's an important night for several basketball teams in the panhandle, and all across the state.

For local teams it's a chance to make the trip to the state final four...

Port St. Joe is one of those teams looking for a regional title and a berth in the final four...

They played host to Pensacola Christian tonight in the 2a playoffs... The tiger sharks earn their 16th regional title, 55-45.

The Sharks advance to the final four against Tampa Prep on Friday March 5th.


In 4a and Rutherford on the road against Creekside in just it's second regional final ever, and Rutherford gets the 55-49 win. They earn the second trip to the final four, the first in 16 years.

They will play Fort Meyers on Friday for a trip to the championship game.


Niceville also hosting in 5a, taking on Gainesville and the Eagles get the win 41-38.

So, that's the third area team heading to the final four in Lakeland, the eagles will play Sickles on Wednesday.
