That elimination game was against Seminole State of Oklahoma. What a game that was, Chipola trailed 6-1 into the bottom of the 7th, they scored twice to make it 6-3, then Ariell van Hook grounded out to end it, or so everyone thought. However, the Chipola coaching staff protested the play, contesting that the defensive player that fielded the ground ball had not properly checked back into the Seminole lineup. The protest was upheld and Van Hook returned to the plate, drove in another run, and Trish Bliss followed with a towering two-run blast to left tying the game and forcing extra innings. Seminole then comes up with 3 in the 9th, it ends 9-6. the Lady Indians are out, still at 49-13, with conference and state titles in hand, what a season.
