Florida State tries to stave off elimination Wednesday at the College World Series!

FSU's Stephen Cardullo looks toward the sky after hitting a solo homer thathelps FSU beat Florida 8-5 and eliminate the Gators from the College World Series.

Wednesday was another big night for the Florida State baseball squad, the Seminoles playing their second elimination game in Omaha. The 'noles survived against Florida Monday night, Wednesday another
win-or-go-home game against TCU! Good start for FSU, bottom one Sherman Johnson goes deep, next hitter Mike McGee, the hero in the win over Florida makes it back to back longballs.
TCU ties it with 2 in the top of the third, 'noles retake the lead with two in the bottom half, the first coming on Ramsey's triple down the right field line, Ramsey later scores on Cardullo's infield hit.
'Noles add 2 more in the 5th, led it 7-2 but the Horned Frogs rally for one in the 7th, then in the 8th, now 7-5, bases loaded, two outs, full count to Matt Curry, a bomb to center off Mcgee, grand slam it's a 9-7 TCU lead...another homer later in the inning makes it 11-7... TCU gets
the comeback 11-7 win, and once again Florida State finds a heartbreaking way to end their season in Omaha. 20 trips out there, no titles.
