DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Daytona International Speedway has repaired another portion of the famed track. This one comes nearly five months after a pothole nearly shut down the Daytona 500.
Track officials say they will continue to inspect the track and make repairs as necessary this weekend.
Sprint Cup points leader Kevin Harvick will start from the pole for Saturday night's race at Daytona International Speedway after qualifying was rained out. Four-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson will start on the outside of the front row.
