Hoover, AL- Thursday was the debut of sorts for new Vandy interim head coach Robbie Caldwell, who took over last week when Bobby Johnson surprisingly retired. Let's just say coach Caldwell is enjoying his new job, even if it still leaves him a bit anonymous, even at this big SEC gathering.

Caldwell said, "...what about the other coaches have they congratulated me and i said no, because they don't know me....i go from lining the field to begin a head coach in the sec... what a thrill and a dream-it's great Ii can go anywhere and people still don't know me, last night i opened the door for people and they gave me a tip... how can you get better than that...
fortunately we're out of time...hey i appreciate you all letting me be here, it's mighty good."

Coach Caldwell will lead the Commodores on the field for real for the first time at home against Northwestern September 4th.
