Minneapolis, MN-- Adrian Peterson ran into the NFL record books, becoming the seventh player to rush for 2,000 yards in a season and falling 9 yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season mark.
Peterson finished with 199 yards and a touchdown in the 37-34 victory over Green Bay on Sunday. He needed 208 yards when the day began to break Dickerson's record of 2,105 yards set in 1984.
