An interesting set of events unfolded Thursday involving an Alabama recruit, his new car, former Mountaineer Pat White, and Nick Saban.
Soon-to-be Crimson Tide running back Derrick Henry who posted this picture on Instagram bragging about his new car. Since he doesn't have a job, social media went crazy, with accusations the car came from the University of Alabama.
Former West Virginia quarterback Pat White then posted a remark on Facebook stating "Stop pretending like you didn't know the crimson tide has been doing this for years. Still glad I turned down a Corvette to become a mountaineer."
Thursday night, during his Crimson Caravan stop in Nashville, a reporter asked coach Saban about all this. His spokesman Jeff Purinton jumped in pointing out Saban was at LSU when White was recruited, but Saban answered anyway with, "I didn't even know it happened, so I can't comment on it... Is that the best thing we can talk about? ... kiss my a**."
