Panama City Beach, FL-- Wednesday is National Signing Day, when high school football recruits can take their verbal commitments and make them more official, and binding by signing what they call letters of intent.
More than a handful of area student athletes doing just that, including a well known pair at Arnold High School. Arnold the lone school in our area with two FBS, or what we used to call, division one signees.
The first to go, running back Andre Allen, who's heading to Troy. Andre with back to back two thousand yard seasons, he originally committed to Ole Miss, but then during the season changed his mind to the Trojans. After signing, Andre had this to say about what the day means to him.
"It means a lot, it's a compliment. You don't wake up every day of your life and you get a free education. And the chance to play football at the next level, so it means a lot to me."
