Area Youngsters Set to Get Football Instruction at "Champ Camp"

Sand Hills, FL---It's a big couple of days ahead at Bozeman in terms of local kids getting some football instruction. Campbelton native Anthony "Champ" Kelly who is now the Asst. Director of Pro Personnel for the Denver Broncos, is conducting his annual "Champ Camp" at Bozeman Friday and Saturday.

"We're excited to be here." Kelly told us Thursday afternoon at Bozeman. "Florida's my home state. This area's home to me. So we're excited to come back here for two days. We work with the local youth, kids ages 10-18. And most importantly, we try to instill the message of C.H.A.M.P., which is character, heart, attitude, motivation, and pride. It's about making these kids better both on and off the field. We want them be able to make better decisions and life and be successful in whatever they do."

More than 360 kids have signed up for this, the 5th year of the Champ Camp. The first three at Graceville, last year at Bozeman. Those who signed up before May 17th will participate free of charge. Those signing up on site will have to play $25.

The times are 8 to 1 Friday, 8:30 to 2 Saturday.
