Arnold Football Team Gets Another Indoor Practice

Panama City Beach, FL--Rain, rain, go away! That is certainly a thought going through the heads of many a high school football coach in our region these days.

The ongoing rainfall that's hit our area in recent days is playing havoc with the start of high school football workouts, and in fact has been a problem for many, even before this week.

Take Arnold for instance, who for the first two days of fall practice have worked out in the gym, thanks to rain and lightning.Actually Arnold head coach James Hale says it's not just this week the rain's been hampering their efforts.

"I think they did an outstanding job this summer of taking self-ownership of their development." says coach Hale about his players. "They showed up this summer did a really good job, the attitude has been outstanding. The only problem we've had, the rain that we've had so much of, we have been kind of limited to what we could do outside. The practice field out there is built on like a marsh, and it's been really wet."

Coach Hale says given how wet that practice field is, the earliest they could get out on it, even if it stops raining, would be Friday.

The Marlins have just over two weeks of work before their preseason Classic which they will host against Choctaw. on the 23rd.
