Panama City Beach, FL--The Arnold volleyball team took care of business on the home floor Monday night, and can now set it's sights on trying to knock off Mosley Tuesday.
Arnold beating visiting Walton Monday in straight sets, 25-14, 25-14, 25-14, taking the Lady Marlins overall record to 17-5. Next up is a trip to Lynn Haven Tuesday against powerhouse Mosley, which ran it's record 20-3 Monday with a straight sets win over visiting Bozeman, 25-0, 25-10, 25-11.
Mosley's 5-0 against it's Bay County rivals so far this season, and hasn't lost an intra-county match in almost a decade.
The video attached from the Arnold match has the following:
The home team on the far side of the court here and getting the early kill from senior Jo Jo Booker, early 5 point lead in that first set for Arnold.
The Lady Braves trying to rally back, first they set up their big gun in the middle, #17 Ashley Harper, just a 9th grader, but already a serious weapon, she gets that kill.
Then a few points later, Walton working it to the corner and getting the big hit from Seirra Contreras.
The Lady Marlins though would close out that first set with a big hit courtesy Emma Moscowitz, and they go on to win this match in straight sets 25-14, 14 and 14.
