Panama City Beach, FL---Area high school football teams are into the third week of spring ball. And for some, that means the chance to do get into game like conditions later in the week.
The Arnold Marlins among those heading towards a game of sorts at the end of this week.
The Marlins are under the guidance of second year head coach Josh Wright, who says he has some 43 players out on the varsity level.
He intends to gauge where his guys are with an intrasquad scrimmage Friday night, and if what he's seen so far out of his guys, he's going to like what he sees come Friday.
"I've watched and observed and our attitude couldn't be any better." coach Wright tells us. "We transferred the weight room and the track and field work to the football practice field and that's why we're excited right now. Our kids are extremely excited about the hit part of spring football. There's a great process in Florida where you have a couple days in helmets and a couple of days in helmets and shells. When that full pads day gets here they're extremely amped up. This is the third day for us, and they've really enjoyed the hit part of football."
Following Friday's intrasquad Arnold will host Bay, Mosley and Rutherford in a four team jamboree on the 23rd.
