Arnold and Bay State Swimming Results

Stewart, FL --- Swimmers from both Arnold and Bay competed in the FHSAA Class 2A State Championship meet Saturday in Stewart.

For the Marlins, Junior Connor Hodges came in 12th and Freshman Alex Phlegar finished two spots behind in the Boys 200 IM.

Phlegar also went on to finish 15th in the Boys 100 backstroke.

Sophomore Hannah Retherford represented the Lady Marlins in both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke, where she finished 15th and 16th respectively.

For the Tornadoes, Dylan Mock placed 11th and 9th in the 50 and 100 free respectively.

His teammate, sophomore Jim Lewandowski didn't qualify for the finals in the 50, while senior Carter Barlup fell just short of the finals in the 100 Backstroke.

In the relays, Arnold's Phlegar, Chad McGuire, Hodges, and Zach Dietz came in 13th in the 200 Medley.

Bay's team of Mock, Grayson Campbell, Barlup, and Lewandowski finished 9th in the 200 Free and 14th in the 400 Free.

In the Boy's team standings, Bay finished in 19th and Arnold 32nd out of the 50 teams represented.

For the girl's, Arnold ended up 40th of the 43 squads.
