Let's take a look ahead to a big district and intra-county matchup set for Tommy Oliver Friday night. It's Arnold at Rutherford, a 3-A district one game the Marlins must win if they want to stay in contention for a state playoff berth. Arnold 5-1 overall, and coming off a 26-3 win over West Florida. The Rams just 2-6 after a 26-3 loss
¶ to undefeated Pensacola, so they are already out of playoff contention, but as James Hale sees it, Rutherford's a steadily improving team under first year coach Jeff Rolson.

James Hale
Arnold Head Coach

"And you can see their kids are starting to buy in to the system of what he's doing with all the new coaches he has over there. And it takes time to get the system in. But they play hard, they're gonna play four quarters of football. I watched 'em play on tape against Pensacola and they played great, they did a great job against a team that had a lot better athletes than anyone around here, so I was really impressed with how they played on defense and on offense against Pensacola. It's gonna be a battle. You know every time a Bay county team plays, it's usually a tough close football game."

That game at T.O. Friday set for 7.
