Arnold's Thomas Takes Sneads Job

Panama City Beach, FL---For the second time in two months, Arnold football is losing a coach who served that program since it began 13 years ago.

Bill Thomas, who was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Arnold, has told us he is accepting an offer to become the next head coach at Sneads, that hire pending approval from the Jackson County School Board.

Coach Thomas was a finalist to succeed Arnold's previous head coach the last 13 years, James Hale. However that job is going to Josh Wright, who is moving west from Franklin where he's been the head coach the last four years.

Coach Thomas himself has head coaching experience, spending three years as the head coach at Apalachicola, before moving to Arnold 13 years ago.

As well as serving as the Marlins top football assistant, Coach Thomas served as the Marlins weightlifting coach, building that program into a true powerhouse, not just in the region but statewide.

Under coach Thomas, the Marlins won two state championships, and 3 state runner up finishes.

Thomas replaces Don Dowling who was let go at Sneads after five seasons in that job.
