Auburn, AL-- To college ball now and the defending national champion Auburn Tigers begin defense of their SEC and National titles Saturday at Jordan Hare. Chizik and company host Utah State on the Plains at 11 am central. Few fans outside of Auburn expect the Tigers to repeat either crown. Gone are several players key to the title run, including Heisman winner Cam Newton.
Junior Barrett Trotter takes over at quarterback, he's a newbie, but he won't be the only one wearing the Auburn colors Saturday.

Gene Chizik
Auburn Head Coach
"It's gonna be really interesting, a lot of fun. I think we counted up, we're gonna probably have 25 to 30 players playing Saturday that have never played in a college which ought to get extremely interesting. But again we're gonna have a lot of fun with it. Again they've worked really hard, they wanna be really really good. It will be fast moving for 'em but the game will eventually slow down for our young guys."

Tigers favored by 3 touchdowns in that one, the oddsmakers believing Utah State might be able to hang in with Auburn.
